With strict operational processes and procedures in place, we at Polar Oil And Gas conduct business in a safe and professional manner. Regarding environmental sustainability, we are also acutely aware of our social obligation to support local communities’ efforts to promote environmental sustainability in order to help create a more sustainable world.
We are searching for worthwhile events and community initiatives that align with our business principles and ethical considerations, in order to either sponsor or take part in them. We are steadfast in our resolve to uphold our CSR and sustainability obligations going forward. We’ll keep investing time and money to help create a more welcoming environment and have a beneficial influence on the international communities in which we now operate.
ESG
Polar Oil And Gas is dedicated to using our resources to advance the global energy transition, and combating climate change is one of our top priorities. With great pleasure, we present the ESG framework’s second version, which was first released in 2021. This solidifies its position as one of the Group’s top strategic goals. We hope to demonstrate in this year’s report how our many businesses—trading, downstream, and renewables—work together to make a lasting, beneficial, and sustainable influence on society.
More than a year ago, Polar Oil And Gas started a revolutionary journey towards cleaner and greener energy by investing in and trading cleaner transition fuels, such LNG and LPG. With the establishment of our Renewable Division in January 2022, we formally declared our intention to assist with the Energy Transition. We have grown our Renewable Energy Division, which is committed to funding renewable energy and emission reduction projects, through a targeted acquisition and investment strategy. The team dedicated to renewables today numbers over thirty, and it keeps growing as we bring on highly qualified employees with decades of experience working on renewable energy projects.
Health & Safety
To expand our company in a sustainable and ethical way, we must manage health and safety, the environment, human rights, and community involvement (referred to as “HSEC”) effectively. As a result, Polar Oil And Gas places the utmost importance on maintaining the safety, health, and human rights of our clients, workers, and the communities in which we operate. We also respect and safeguard the environment in the nations with whom we conduct business.
As part of its goal to have zero occurrences, the Group met its personal health and safety goals in 2022 and kept up its efforts to lower the frequency and severity of process safety incidents. Every incident is looked into, and any lessons learned are noted and shared with all of the group’s resources.
A large number of the goods that Polar Oil And Gas deals in, especially fuels, are extremely combustible and frequently include additional risks. For instance, several naphtha products have the potential to cause cancer. Through Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Polar Oil And Gas informs our clients about the risks associated with handling certain products as well as precautions to take and risk management strategies.
